On the occasion of the birthday of our beloved Chancellor on 24.08.2026, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur, under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) scheme, organized a Free Medical Camp at Athur Village, Chengalpattu District, on 13.08.2026.
The medical camp was conducted as part of the community outreach activities for the UBA-adopted village, Athur. Nearly 20 doctors from various medical specialties participated in the camp and provided medical consultation, health screening, and medicines to the villagers.
Around 100 beneficiaries from the village attended the camp and received proper medical check-ups, specialist consultations, and necessary medicines. The camp provided valuable healthcare support to the local community and was successfully conducted with the wholehearted cooperation of all concerned
.
We sincerely express our heartfelt gratitude to our Honourable Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Nodal Officer, and Associate Director, Dr. V. Thirumurugan, for their valuable guidance and support.
We also extend our sincere thanks to the doctors from SRM Hospitals, the Department of Community Medicine staff members, the Head of SRMSTE&R, and all supporting staff members for their dedicated service and contribution towards the successful organization of the medical camp.
Our special thanks go to the Village President, Vice President, Panchayat Secretary, and Ward Members of Athur Village for their valuable cooperation, coordination, and support in making the medical camp a successful and meaningful community service initiative.
The successful conduct of this medical camp reflects the commitment of SRM Institute of Science and Technology towards community welfare, accessible healthcare, and the objectives of the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan.
