UBA – SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur and American
Society of Civil Engineers ASCE student’s chapter have jointly organized a
competition event to create awareness for elimination of single – use plastic. The
awareness program of single use plastics 2021 was conducted online (English)
and under this program three major competitions - speech, drawing, and essay

competition was evaluated by Prof. Kantha Devi Arunachalam, Dean, and Center
for Environmental Nuclear Research. The essay competition was supervised by Mr.
Raj Kumar Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Technology
and evaluated by Mr. S. Pradeep Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering.
Drawing competition was supervised by Mr. S. Pradeep Assistant Professor,
Department of Civil Engineering, Ms. P. Mohana Sundari, UBA – Project Associate,
Ms. A.T.Ranjini, and UBA – Project Associate and evaluated by Architecture
