and Research Centre, in collaboration with Unnat Bharat Abhiyan 2.0, organized
an awareness program on 4th September 2025 at Orathur Government School to mark
<i>National Nutrition Month 2025</i> on the theme <i>“Healthy Food, Healthy
Future.”</i><o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family: "Times New Roman",serif; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%;">Highlights
included a puppet show on healthy eating, an awareness talk on diet and
lifestyle diseases, and chart displays on balanced diet, food safety, and
community nutrition. Interactive games further engaged students, with prizes
awarded to winners.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family: "Times New Roman",serif; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%;">The
program emphasized community-focused nutrition practices, highlighting locally
available, cost-effective, and nutrient-rich foods in line with Unnat Bharat
Abhiyan 2.0. The event successfully promoted healthy dietary practices and
reinforced the Department’s commitment to improving community health and

Kattankulathur Dental College & Hospital and Unnat Bharat Abhiyan organized
screening camp at Orathur Village, Chengalpattu on 16/05/2024. The activities
included dental screenings for oral mucosal lesions and educational sessions on
the adverse effects of tobacco use. During our visit, we conducted a
comprehensive dental screening for residents, focusing on identifying oral

palpation to detect abnormalities such as leukoplakia, erythroplakia, and other

steps and potential treatments.  In
addition to the dental screenings, we held educational sessions to inform
