Awareness and Potheri Lake Cleaning programme on 08.11.2019. The plastics and
waste thrown on the bunds of lake have been along with students and public to
improve the personal hygiene of local people and the awareness has been created
among people about plastic waste and the need of keeping environment clean.</span></p>

arakattalai - 22.09.2019, Naduveeran pattu Village Lake. As a part of
environment protection and to improve the strength and stability of lake bunds
to store water and to recharge underground water the best method is planting
palm trees. In this regards more than 3000 palm seeds have been sown on the
bunds of lake. As well as this this was done on that day as a part of assist

The students received participation certificates for quiz competition. And one of the students received 2nd prize for building "Hand Robot" model under Artificial Intelligence theme. The UBA cell of SRMIST is keen in participating in "rural education". With this aim, the UBA team brought students from Govt High School, Anjur to SRM Institute of Science & Technology, Kattankulathur campus on 6th August 2019. It was a great opportunity for them to experience campus life, the various disciplines of studies, the campus facilities available. Faculties from various Departments gave them an orientation to the different academic courses during the tour.<br />

A needs assessment survey was conducted at Govt High School, Anjur in July 2019. Based on its results, priority areas were identified for uplifting the existing facilities in the school.<br />
