📘 CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION REPORT

Introduction
Children’s Day is celebrated every year on 14th November to honor the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, who was fondly known as “Chacha Nehru” for his love towards children. To mark this special occasion, the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan team of SRMIST along with the Green Club conducted a meaningful outreach program at Government Higher Secondary School, Singaperumal Koil.
Program Overview
The event commenced with an assembly under the guidance of school faculty where students gathered enthusiastically. The purpose of the event was to encourage students to participate in environmental protection activities while celebrating Children’s Day joyfully.

Awareness Address:
Faculty members and student volunteers addressed the students, highlighting the significance of Children’s Day and the role of young minds in creating a sustainable future. -
Distribution of Saplings/Plant Kits:
As part of promoting green values, saplings/plant growing kits were distributed to students. This initiative aimed at motivating children to contribute to environmental conservation by planting and nurturing trees. -
Student Participation:
A large number of students actively took part, showing eagerness to learn and take responsibility for their environment.
