Unnat Bharat Abhiyan – SRMIST in connection with My India conducted a School cleaning and painting programme for Panchayat Union Middle School of UBA adopted village Pattaravakam on 4th March 2023. Under the guidance of Dr.V.Thirumurugan associate director campus life and Nodal Officer of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan-SRMIST along with 32students & 8 faculties from B.Sc Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics stream were participated in this event and provide their service., we started the trip from SRMIST Kattankulathur on 04/03/2023 at 9.00AM. Reached the place by 9:40 and started with cleaning process. Divided the 32 students into groups and provided each group with one classroom and also faculties to guide them. First they started arranging the things in the classroom and make the room empty to work freely and started with the cleaning process then moved on to the next process applying primer to the walls. Done with the cleaning process and primer application before lunch and all team members provided with lunch and after a small break moved on to painting process. Post lunch started with painting process and done with the process by 4:30pm. At the end all provided with refreshment and started from Pattaravakam and reached college by 5:15pm.
