ONE DAY PROGRAM ON SHRAMDAAN FOR SWACHH BHARAT
Shramdaan for cleanliness Drive was
organised by Unnat Bharat Abhiyan wing of SRMIST, Kattankulathur on
01.10.2023 at various places of the adopted
villages. At Patravakkam, one of its adopted village the cleanliness drive was
done in the panchayat union middle school premises. The drive was inaugurated
by Dr. C. Muthamizhchelvan, Vice Chancellor, SRMIST and
presided by Dr. V. Thirumurugan, Associate Director (CL) and Nodal Officer of
UBA-SRMIST. In his inaugural address, the Vice Chancellor emphasized the role
of students and higher education institutions in executing the schemes and
welfare activities of the government. He also highlighted the significance of such
cleanliness drive in developing economy like India. Dr. Nitin Madhusudan Nagarkar,
dean of SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, a special invitee, gave a special address to the participants and
highlighted the importance of Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta Ek Saath.
This event was jointly
organized by Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. and the faculty
co-ordinators are Dr. R. Sridhar, Dr. A. Geetha, and Dr. S. Usha from SRMIST
took care of all the arrangements.30 students from various department of SRM Institute
of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur were participated in the event.
