such as lack of access to finance and markets, and how they overcame them. They
also shared their success stories and encouraged other women entrepreneurs to
pursue their dreams. They also showcased their various items, such as handicrafts,
textiles, food processing, etc. At last, pictures were taken of these amazing
women. The Rural Women Entrepreneur Meet was a great success. It provided a
platform for rural women entrepreneurs to come together, share their
experiences, and learn from each other. The event aimed to empower rural women

Baseline Household Survey at newly adopted village Chunambedu by students of Department of Teachers' education and research - SRMIST

<p> <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Roboto, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">In a concerted effort to foster rural development and bridge the urban-rural divide, SRM University recently hosted a two-day census survey as part of the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan initiative. This nationwide campaign aims to empower rural communities through various developmental interventions and knowledge exchange programs.</span></p><p style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; font-family: Roboto, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px; margin-bottom: 1rem; margin-top: 0px;">The survey, conducted on 14 ,February,2024 and 15, February ,2024 , saw enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and volunteers who embarked on a mission to gather vital data and insights into the socio- economic conditions of nearby rural areas. The survey teams traversed through soonambedu to engage with local residents and document key information pertaining to infrastructure, healthcare, education, agriculture, and other essential aspects of rural life.Through structured questionnaires and interactive sessions, the surveyors interacted with villagers to understand their needs, challenges, and aspirations. The data collected during this comprehensive exercise will serve as a crucial foundation for designing tailored interventions and sustainable development projects aimed at uplifting rural communities. Speaking about the significance of the initiative, Department of Teachers' education and research emphasized the university's commitment to societal welfare and its role as a catalyst for positive change. The Unnat Bharat Abhiyan aligns perfectly with our institution's ethos of serving the community and fostering inclusive growth. The survey revealed significant gaps in infrastructure, particularly in terms of roads, electricity, and sanitation facilities. Agriculture was found to be the primary source of livelihood for the majority of rural households. Many were employed in 100 days labour work. People were suffering from mosquitoes due to the presence of stagnant water. The successful execution of the census survey underscores SRM University's dedication to promotingg social responsibility and driving meaningful development beyond its campus borders. Moving forward, the institution pledges to collaborate with local authorities, NGOs, and stakeholders to implement actionable initiatives based on the insights gleaned from the survey.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5szU2xXj5Q9e8lO6q5L5fotNVC6_JPYz_jYAdqcJFWCRc12kdcwvUmsMZRzvO0nswDLr2t4lN0pXAOhTxapeLoirlwmm8wr-9XxBrrzsR0O4uRD5buTiyV9n0EnULoCQ15DMLz8XCz3iiqqBcir1Hzli2HGdkNKkdu8DLfHBxHTgfTz7V9AbB6sj-3O4/s4608/20240214_110732AMByGPSMapCamera.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3456" data-original-width="4608" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5szU2xXj5Q9e8lO6q5L5fotNVC6_JPYz_jYAdqcJFWCRc12kdcwvUmsMZRzvO0nswDLr2t4lN0pXAOhTxapeLoirlwmm8wr-9XxBrrzsR0O4uRD5buTiyV9n0EnULoCQ15DMLz8XCz3iiqqBcir1Hzli2HGdkNKkdu8DLfHBxHTgfTz7V9AbB6sj-3O4/w640-h480/20240214_110732AMByGPSMapCamera.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8ZOpiRCBG5j31VCf2orcYIyBvZy5hoHszeWVZ-aWlOA-MWUwVB4u_Q4ilBlm2iIxLm8QHsXj6KgqpBzDuKgVLFF1_wYDy6T7cjiU_h2UxOMIlcSRBjU9PTvsEG4Q9U-5qqhHiRZaZfye8DQJGvFEGc1z2SViX9E1j2_hbDw0qRbWpAbqnRcg6SEL0HjA/s4608/20240215_111930AMByGPSMapCamera.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4608" data-original-width="3456" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8ZOpiRCBG5j31VCf2orcYIyBvZy5hoHszeWVZ-aWlOA-MWUwVB4u_Q4ilBlm2iIxLm8QHsXj6KgqpBzDuKgVLFF1_wYDy6T7cjiU_h2UxOMIlcSRBjU9PTvsEG4Q9U-5qqhHiRZaZfye8DQJGvFEGc1z2SViX9E1j2_hbDw0qRbWpAbqnRcg6SEL0HjA/w480-h640/20240215_111930AMByGPSMapCamera.jpg" width="480" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDsqbcpVpn3OCptLyhByHiiBQ62ulA2dX457kmQGBI4y906FvUo_7KGF-t46MUH2y2Xi5jeYFkLi28l9e7cEfilkUUEpRkC7zYhH0aOBOeKnOG9DOz1KeLErjusv4X9d_a6ilMpVamMEw1B_K647U8yVRVyS29JlHvAJ_dhH4EVL7QK1b284AQKy5q1WM/s1280/IMG-20240214-WA0006.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="720" data-original-width="1280" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDsqbcpVpn3OCptLyhByHiiBQ62ulA2dX457kmQGBI4y906FvUo_7KGF-t46MUH2y2Xi5jeYFkLi28l9e7cEfilkUUEpRkC7zYhH0aOBOeKnOG9DOz1KeLErjusv4X9d_a6ilMpVamMEw1B_K647U8yVRVyS29JlHvAJ_dhH4EVL7QK1b284AQKy5q1WM/w640-h360/IMG-20240214-WA0006.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiiXYiukKLxG_DRHzWzYJvMRT9Rlk_faxi53aS9FvAp5RQM-NqLsJMc-vj8l7zDoTJL6voabX1fRl3M1PLl8DX1iumXjQxz0sQjW80DpR2VC6sLPA2U9_rF1ywkm8omfwQddnkpaD1ONHCZOHJivNhTvhn8ldLo9FpSlkqaAdopNTuUg0VcSDKklpbfZKc/s1100/11.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1100" data-original-width="1100" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiiXYiukKLxG_DRHzWzYJvMRT9Rlk_faxi53aS9FvAp5RQM-NqLsJMc-vj8l7zDoTJL6voabX1fRl3M1PLl8DX1iumXjQxz0sQjW80DpR2VC6sLPA2U9_rF1ywkm8omfwQddnkpaD1ONHCZOHJivNhTvhn8ldLo9FpSlkqaAdopNTuUg0VcSDKklpbfZKc/w640-h640/11.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><p style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; font-family: Roboto, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px; margin-bottom: 1rem; margin-top: 0px;"><br /></p><p style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; font-family: Roboto, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px; margin-bottom: 1rem; margin-top: 0px;">As the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan continues to gain momentum nationwide, SRM University remains steadfast in its commitment to contributing towards a more equitable and sustainable future for rural India. The survey conducted by the Department of Teachers Education and Research under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan highlights the multifaceted challenges faced by rural communities.
