A cycle rally was conducted on 4-4-26 with the Theme "Think Nation,Act as a Responsible Citizen" objective of creating awareness among the public about the importance of voting and encouraging maximum participation in the electoral process. The rally witnessed active participation from local officials, volunteers, students, and members of the public.The rally was inaugurated by the Municipal Commissioner, Mr. Narayanan, along with Dr. V. Thirumurugan, Associate Director – Campus Life and Nodal Officer, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, SRMIST. Totally 80 participants involved in this activities .
The rally commenced from route clock tower to Maraimali nagar ,mm nagar bus stop and proceeded through major streets of the area, covering important localities to reach a wider audience. Participants carried banners and placards displaying slogans such as “Every Vote Counts,” “Vote for a Better Future,” and “Your Vote is Your Voice,” effectively spreading the message of responsible voting ended at clock tower.
The initiative attracted significant public attention, and many residents appreciated the efforts taken to promote electoral awareness. At the end of the rally, officials addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of exercising one’s voting rights to strengthen democracy. Awareness pamphlets were also distributed among the public.
The program was successfully conducted and served as an effective platform to motivate citizens towards achieving 100% voting participation.
