The department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (EIE), in association with UBA SRM-IST, jointly organized an Outreach Program on Importance of Education to Rural Communities at Thenmelpakkam Village, near Chengelpet on 24.01.24 (Wednesday), on the occasion of International Education Day. This outreach aims to create an awareness among the tribal and downtrodden community about educating students.

            Mrs. T.Sumathi, Tamil Nadu State Rural Livelihoods Mission (TNSRLM)- Block mission manager (Kattankulathur Block) graced the session as the guest speaker. The speaker gave the audience a glimpse of all the schemes offered by government in order to promote their livelihood. The audience were given an opportunity to interact with the team regarding various schemes for educating them for an occupation.


            Dr.S.Sharanya and Mr.Sridhar.N.S delivered a short note on the activities offered in SRM for underprivileged community. The session happened to be an eye opener for the audience.
