SRMIST- UBA observed the Swachhata Pakhwada 2021

 The theme of this Swachhata Pakhwada is “Clean India, Green India, Yeh Hai Mera Dream India”.

SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur is holding Swachhata Pakhwada 2021, a fortnight-long program observed to ensure mass participation of citizens in Swachhata activities. The inauguration for the event was held on 1^st September virtually. About 60 members, including Deans, Directors, faculty members and students, participated in this initiative.  

Dr. P. Supraja, from Swatchhata organizing team gave a short note on the Institute’s action plan towards Swachhata Pakhwada 2021. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. T. Rajasekaran, professor from Mechanical Engineering and NSS Coordinator of SRMIST. Registrar of SRMIST Dr. S. Ponnusamy gave the presidential address and shared valuable information about the Swachhata initiative in the campus. Director (IHM) Dr. D. Antony Ashok Kumar shared his own experience and importance of swatch movement in the felicitation note.

Dr. V. M. Gayathri from Swatchhata organizing team delivered the pledge to devote towards 'Swachhata' of our motherland and all the dignitaries and participants have taken an oath for the same. Associate Director (Campus Life) & Nodal Officer for Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Dr. V. Thirumurugan thanked all the dignitaries and participants who took part in the inaugural ceremony. 

 

Swachhata Pakhwada 2021, as a part of Swachh Bharat Abhiayan launched by Government of India, is a fortnight-long program observed to ensure mass participation of citizens in Swachhata activities and to transform Swachh Bharat into a citizen’s movement. MHRD has directed all educational institutions to take part in Swachhata Pakhwada 2021 and to set the tone and pace for the Swachhata movement in the country.
