Tree plantation has been organized by UBA – SRM IST at kaliventhapattu (UBA Adopted village) on 23rd September 2020. The UBA team visited with around 100 numbers of saplings and planted the same at planned locations. The saplings such as pungam (Pongamia pinnata), iluppai (Madhuca longifolia) and poovarasu (Thespesia populnea). The tree plantation event was started by Mr. Sankar (Village Panchayat Secretary). After that the UBA SRMIST team were planted the sapling in various place of the adopted village and deliver speech about tree plantation and importance to conserve nature and sustain our bio-diversity.
