The International Nurses Day program aimed to acknowledge and appreciate nurses' vital role in healthcare. It provided a platform for networking, learning, and recognizing their contributions while promoting awareness of community health issues. The International Nurses day  was conducted on 10/05/2023 Government Higher secondary school Anjur. The Program was organized by  NSS Unit, Department of Community Health Nursing, SRM College of Nursing and Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, SRMIST. The local Panchayat President, Mr.Devaraj, Mr.Baskar, Head Master, Government Higher Secondary School, Anjur  were the guest of honour of the Program. 30 B.Sc(N) II year and DGNM I year(2Nos) students and faculty members Mrs.Geetha and Mrs.Vinitha participated in it. This Program was organized to inform the people about nurses' role and importance.

The program started with a warm welcome to all attendees, including nurses, healthcare professionals, administrators, and dignitaries. A brief introduction about the significance of International Nurses Day was given, highlighting the theme for the year. The welcome address by Dr.Vijayakumar Professor, ECE department, Special address by  Mr. V. Thirumurugan, Nodal officer UBA-SRMIST, Associate Director (Campus Life). To celebrate the diversity and cultural backgrounds of nurses, a variety of cultural activities were organized. Performances such as traditional dances, songs, and skits were showcased, highlighting the different cultures represented among the nursing staff. BSc (N) II year student performed Song, Skit and Handwashing dance and Special Speech about nurses delivered by DGNM-1st year students. At last, Mrs. Geetha delivered a vote of thanks. The Program came to end with National Anthem.
