Participants: Panchayat President
and other elected members, Village officer, Panchayat secretary, Horticulture
officer, SRMIST- UBA village coordinator and other representatives from self
help group and Village people.

The meeting started
with the welcome note by Panchayat president Ms. Durga Selvaraj and in her
welcome address she emphasized the importance of gram Sabha meeting.

The Gram Sabha thanked
the SRMIST- UBA scheme for the following initiatives
Ø Sponsoring
Chairs for Anganwadi kids 20 Nos.
Ø Free
medical camp at Patravakkam village
Ø Skill
developmental programme on Dairy Products on 19.07.22
Ø Job
opportunity campaign – Welding and Plumbing from 20-07-22 to 27-07-22

Further there were
deliberations on issues like
Ø Palm
Seed planting along the lake area to prevent sand-landside.
Ø Poor
plight of toilets at Panchayat union middle school at Patravakkam village.
Ø Need
for play ground for youth in the village.
Ø Drainage
cleaning and removal of encroachments

On behalf of
SRMIST-UBA, Prof. R. Sridhar, Village coordinator-UBA assured that the expense of maintenance and
cleaning of toilets cleaning at government school campus will be borne by
himself for a year.
Also,
the village Gram Sabha wholehearted thanked SRM Management for providing free
education for one deserving student at Patravakkam village every year. This
year too, under Vendhar free educational grants scheme a free educational seat
has been allotted to Ms. E. Vishali, D/o Mr. Ezhumalai in B. Com General.
The
panchayat secretary thanked all the people who attended the Grama Sabha
meeting.
